As usual, stopped a lot of times la. How now brown cow? Only one week left to build my stamina!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4km - 33 minutes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway I've found out that you actually run further when you are on the treadmill. So the preparation for my previous marathons went down the hill just because I was too lazy to wake up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But fret not, I've found the solution to all problems. Marathon at night only la!!! Yups...I'll be joining the Putrajaya Night Marathon which will be held on the 6th Feb 2010. I totally forgotten that it's the same day as my dad's birthday bummers. And I can't ffk since I've called along people to run along boo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, due to the prepartion done by KY and Mior, I've been feeling a lil bit kiasu today. Sure, I've been able to run 10km before. So 7.7 km should be a problem. But looking back at the post, it was like 1 year back. So decided to test my stamina out at the gym's treadmill.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Started off with the stretcher. Muscles all very tensed leh...can't even hold the stretch for long.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then it's up to the treadmill! 5 minutes of warm-up.&lt;br /&gt;Hit&lt;br /&gt;3km - 27 minutes&lt;br /&gt;4km - 35 minutes&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Die kau-kau. I used to be able to run 4km without taking breaks. Today, I stopped for a total of 3 times cause my heart was pumping so fast I could take it no more.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh well, there are still time left! Although a water station as promised would make me a lil bit happier in the process of completing that 10km.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, it was pretty hard in the middle cause there were HILLS! Yes, the last one was so steep I had problem trying to even walk up. The weather and the view at the beginning of the run were pretty nice though :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, after reading about &lt;a href="http://pm1.blogspot.com/2009/03/melawati-10km-run-photos.html"&gt;the run&lt;/a&gt; from a blog of a seasoned runner, I just realised that my first marathon was pretty shity due to the lack of the water station and safety measures. Now I can't wait for the next run to see how a real one should be like. Heard that some will provide breakfast at the end of the run. First 5 minutes of slow walking. Although it took 34 minutes (this being forced too) to reach 4km, slightly slower than the previous keep-running-style, I realised that I wasn’t as pancit as before. BUT BUT BUT my mission to do 8-9 km tak jadi today! Cause at about 40th minute, a friend came over to chat! Obviously had to slow down cause I didn’t have the stamina to chat and run at the same time. This 19 year old leng chai (read: small kid cause I’m like 3 years older wtf) looked really comfy leaning on the neighbouring treadmill and wasn’t showing any sign of moving away even after a whole 20 minutes. So I was like, “OK, enough for today cause it’s not like I’m doing anything productive.” Hence, the short distance in 1 hour boo. After the first 20 minutes I was already tempted to stop but kiasu la cause I came with a goal to finish 6km. So in conclusion, just keep pushing and pushing and pushing because it’s mostly in the mind.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, my knees started to produce cracking sounds after that. Even after 3 days, it still cracks!
